Remember PopupDB which is now a defunct website? That used to be the go-to site to find active popups until the developers sadly closed it down due to moving on in real life (to be fair, the Popup Generator is still working!). Don’t despair though, a new project is there with a couple more options.
SpamBaitMail.org is the new tool on the block. It also lets you open a huge amount of browser tabs which will eventually redirect to a popup or misleading advertisements or other types of scams. The team behind SpamBaitMail is researching ad networks and link shorteners as facilitators of scams and malware even. You can find articles about the already done research over at their homepage, including posts about link maskers, offer walls, push ads, adware, and even scam emails
The SpamBaitMail Mass Opener has multiple options to choose from which vary in the links they open. Try what results in the best results for you. Be aware though, that it’s required to have a clean, residential IP address before clicking on one of those options. These ad networks and redirectors will not serve you popups if they detect you being on a suspicious IP address such as a data center or a VPN, so for this purpose specifically, a VPN is actually counterproductive. Under the article “Clean IPs” and “Proxies and Site Etiquette” you can learn more about this topic and how to use the site correctly. Also remember to disable any ad blocker for that purpose and if you do not get any popups, try switching browsers, e.g. to Microsoft Edge and see if that helps.
